The SIU Women’s Club awards annually two $2,000 scholarships to female undergraduate students: the Dorothy Morris Traditional Student Scholarship and the Joyce Guyon Non-Traditional Scholarship.2015 scholarship recipients with president and scholarship director.

Preference is given to students at least a junior in standing who have earned a minimum of 24 credits at SIU. A traditional student is one whose college career commenced directly after graduation from High School and has been uninterrupted. A non-traditional student is one whose college education has been interrupted (e.g., military service, marriage, having a child(ren), changing careers, etc.). Selection is based on academic achievement, career goals and aspirations, leadership experience, references, and financial need.

Applications are due on January 31. To be considered, applicants must complete the SIU General Scholarship Application, then apply to either the Dorothy Morris Traditional Student Scholarship or the Joyce Guyon Non-Traditional Student Scholarship.

The recipients are awarded the scholarships at the SIU Women’s Club Scholarship Awards Luncheon and Business Meeting in April.
